A 'well-established' pub in a County Durham town has hit the market for just under £300,000 as its owners are looking to retire.
The Fountain Inn in Consett is listed for sale with estate agents Christie & Co with offers over £285,000 enough to secure the site.
Current owners of the pub have run the establishment for more than 17 years, but are now looking to retire.
Located near Consett's bus station, the establishment benefits from a "central location with good footfall" according to estate agents.
The property comprises a "large and traditional" two-storey detached building with "painted rendered elevations beneath a pitched roof".
Estate agents describe the interior as "tastefully refurbished throughout to a very good standard".

The main entrance leads into two separate bar and lounge areas, with the main bar area featuring numerous mounted TV screens, a pool table, and a darts area.
The lounge/restaurant has its own bar, and is frequently used for functions and match days.
The pub also has a commercial grade kitchen, customer toilets, cellar access, storage facilities, and access to a private garage.
In terms of external features, the Fountain Inn has an outside pavement seating licence with seating for around 30 people.
The pub also comes with a spacious owner's accommodation, consisting of four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and living area, all with gas central heating.
According to Christie & Co, The Fountain Inn offers a "great opportunity for an owner operator to purchase this large well positioned and well performing business, and to operate along the same lines as the current owner".
Alternatively, an experienced operator could expand the current offer and run it as a managed house, or an investor may look to purchase the premises and let it to an operator.
The business is currently run by the owner-operator, with the help of part-time staff.
