A 65-year-old woman was hospitalised after a crash on Stockton High Street.
The woman needed treatment for a head injury after being hit by a Skoda Octavia at 6:45pm on Sunday.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury by driving dangerously.
He has been bailed as enquiries continue.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "A woman received treatment for a head injury following a collision in Stockton.
"The 65-year-old woman was treated at James Cook University Hospital following the collision with a Skoda Octavia around 6:45pm on Sunday 6th October on Stockton High Street.
"A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving and has been bailed whilst enquiries continue."
