A County Durham man has been fined after a speed traffic camera on the A1(M) recorded them driving at a speed over the 70mph limit.
A1(M) speed camera catches driver speeding over 70mph:
Colin Bentham, 56, of Rodridge Park, Wingate, was convicted in his absence on October 1, 2024, for speeding on the A1(M) on March 16, 2024.
He was fined £488, ordered to pay £195 as a victim surcharge, and £90 in costs.

His driving record was endorsed with five points.
The notification of Bentham's conviction for speeding was sent to the DVLA and his licence was not suspended.
A collection order for costs was made by October 29, 2024.
