PureGym has confirmed the opening date for its new Teesside Park fitness facility - and there are just weeks to go.
The national operator has announced that it will be opening the doors to its new 24/7 15,000 square foot gym - the first on Teesside - at the popular shopping complex on November 1.
The gym chain has taken over the former Millennium nightclub, next door to Ninja Warrior, following months of renovations - with pictures last month showing the site being gutted by construction crews.
The new unit will feature hundreds of pieces of state-of-the-art equipment, a functional zone, free weights area, fixed resistance, cardio equipment, a fitness studio and a cycle studio, as well as a huge range of classes.
Certified PTs will also be available to support clients and a free initial exercise induction.
As previously reported, Teesside Park bosses confirmed PureGym would be arriving at the complex later this year, months after it was revealed that a gym operator was in talks to move into the former nightclub.
The space has remained empty for several years, with the Millennium itself only being open between 1996 and 2002 before having a brief resurgence under a new name in the late 2000s.
Teased as a "brilliant addition to Stockton-on-Tees and the local community", the new centre will provide 12 new jobs and is hoping to boost footfall at the leisure park, which has recently seen the openings of Ninja Warrior and the revamped Hollywood Bowl.
PureGym will also boast low-cost, zero-contract memberships, providing members with access to "nonstop flexible, affordable fitness facilities".
