A County Durham supermarket was the victim of an attempted burglary in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Morrisons Daily on Tyne Road in Stanley was initially closed in the morning following the incident but was reportedly able to open only 20 minutes late.
A representative from the store said that the store did not suffer any losses of goods and that a security guard was on hand.
A statement from Durham Constabulary said: "We were called to reports of an attempted burglary at Morrisons supermarket, on Tyne Road, Stanley, at about 12.30am on Wednesday, October 2."

There were reports online of an attempted break-in to the same store in Stanley two weeks ago and the store has a security guard for anything that may occur overnight.
Enquiries into the attempted break-in on Wednesday morning are ongoing with Durham Constabulary.
Anyone with any information about the attempted burglary is asked to call 101 and quote the incident reference 6 of October 2.
