An 18-year-old's joyride on a stolen motorcycle ended in a 9-month curfew and driving ban.
Kane Hardy, from School View, Ferryhill, Durham, pleaded guilty to several offences at Peterlee Magistrates' Court on September 27.
The crimes, including handling stolen goods, failing to stop for a police officer, and dangerous driving, occurred on March 16 this year.
The stolen item, a Honda Motorcycle worth £1,500, and Hardy's dangerous driving took place on the A167 southbound in Chilton and in Newton Aycliffe.
Other charges against Hardy included refusing to provide a specimen when suspected of drunk driving, driving without insurance or a valid licence, and failure to wear protective headgear while riding the motorcycle.
Hardy was sentenced to remain at home from 7pm to 7am daily until March 26, 2026, monitored electronically.

He must also fulfil up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity.
From August 2, 2024, Hardy is disqualified from driving for 18 months.
Consideration was given to his guilty pleas during sentencing.
