The Spennymoor Leisure Centre swimming pool is set to reopen this month after work for essential maintenance.
Durham County Council will let people back in on Monday, October 14.
During the essential work a new water play feature has been added and there has been an upgrade to the pool to make it more efficient in future.
The work has formed part of the centre's leisure transformation which will feature a new Thrive kitchen which will serve healthy food and drinks.
Here are some pictures of the upgraded swimming pool:
Cllr James Rowlandson, Durham County Council’s Cabinet member for resources, investment, and assets, said: "We’re pleased to be reopening Spennymoor’s swimming pool after a period of essential maintenance to upgrade its systems and add some exciting new features.
"We are progressing towards the final stages of Spennymoor’s leisure transformation and the completion of another revitalised centre.
"We are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents by creating a modern leisure offer in County Durham that is accessible for all ages and abilities.
"These improvements to Spennymoor will create a new and diverse offer at the site, while also sustaining it for the future."
The final section of the revamped Louisa Centre in Stanley will be completed later this week.
Customers will have the chance to scale new heights on a ‘clip and climb’ climbing wall and try the county’s first ever TAG Active obstacle course, which both open at the centre on Thursday 3 October.
