STAR pupils have been honoured at an education trust’s annual awards ceremony celebrating attainment and progress.
The Advance Learning Partnership (ALP) staged its second annual Pupil Awards at the trust’s head office – Whitworth Park Academy, in Spennymoor.
ALP manages ten primary and nine secondary schools across the North East and a total of 20 pupils were presented with awards.
Event organiser Laura Mellis, Director of Information Strategy for ALP, said: “The awards are a celebration of individual pupils while also creating special memories because it’s an occasion they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.
“There have been some fantastic achievements within the ALP family of schools over the past year and those receiving awards are a credit to themselves, their families, and their teachers.”
The event was sponsored by specialist recruitment agency CER Education and software provider Juniper Education, with donations of tickets and prizes from Emblematic, Beamish, Durham Climbing Centre, Infinite Air, and the Auckland Cupcake Company.
