Police have launched an investigation after the window of a Stanley furniture shop was smashed up overnight.
Pictures taken early on Monday (September 30) morning show the front window of Clifford Centre Furnishers in Stanley smashed in.
A glass pane was destroyed with part of the window reduced to shards on the floor.

It is not yet known if anything was taken from the shop.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Police were called shortly before 7am to reports of criminal damage to a premises on Clifford Road, Stanley.
“Enquiries are now ongoing.”
