A hotel, pub and restaurant lease has appeared online for sale months after it received a one-star hygiene rating from health inspectors.
The Fox Hall Inn, on the A66 at Ravensworth, in North Yorkshire, has appeared on Rightmove with business estate agents Christie & Co for £15,000.
The venue, which is prominently located on the A66, is now looking for new owners. Interested parties are encouraged to bid for the hotel and restaurant.
It's now up for sale for the second time in several years after Landlord Chris Daley and Chef Scott Fisher took over the popular venue in October 2023.
On the listing, the Fox Hall Inn is described as: "a brilliant example of a country pub restaurant with beautifully appointed ensuite letting bedrooms."
The listing adds: "Set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, the Fox Hall Inn provides a traditional country pub dining experience with luxury, overnight accommodation."
"The restaurant and several rooms have stunning pastoral views over Holmedale towards Richmond and Swaledale."
The fact that the pub is up for sale comes months after it was hit by a one-star hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency.
Within the inspection, 'hygienic food handling', which includes, hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage, was ranked 'major improvement necessary'.
In the 'cleanliness and condition of facilities and building', which includes, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control) to enable good food hygiene, it was noted as 'Good'.
Meanwhile, the 'management of food safety' category, including system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future, was ranked 'Generally satisfactory'.
And the owners of the venue have put the food hygiene rating down to fridges and freezer issues, caused by consistent power cuts - and have said that they await another inspection.
Within his explanation at the time, Mr Daley said that consistent power cuts have led to issues with the fridges and freezers, as well as The Fox Hall Inn having to scrap £500 worth of food, due to the issues with the electrics.
He said: "The main reason was our main outside freezer and fridge (large capacity) were causing myself and the team enormous problems.
"The freezer and fridge have been adversely affected by the area's frequent power cuts both have shot up sometimes to 18 degrees which cooks the food you need to chill or freeze.
"We've had to throw whole batches away sometimes up to £500 worth of meat alone from freezer problems.
