Hundreds of pounds worth of coins and sentimental jewellery was reported missing after a suspected burglary in Stockton.

Police are appealing for information to help them find their suspect, reported to have made off with the money and haul of precious items.

It happened on Bishopton Road in the town between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Saturday (September 28).

Officers said a a red money box with between £300 and £500 worth of £1 and £2 coins was taken along with a man’s watch with a brown strap.

A blue key box safe was also stolen with jewellery including a small grey suede Pandora jewellery box, small brown suede Pandora jewellery box, sapphire gold ring, gold wedding ring with a pattern on the outside, gold locket with a flower sticker inside on a gold chain, two Pandora bracelets both silver with charm beads, pair of women's round gold earrings, Calvin Klein gold watch, and an engraved watch.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and officers are urging anyone with information or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 186803.”
