A man found with suspected stolen items was arrested after reportedly trying car doors this morning.
The man, 49, was found in the area of Sandown Park in Redcar with car and garage keys and money believed to have been stolen.

It came after police were called to the street at 7.15am on Sunday (September 29) where a man was trying car doors in broad daylight.
He was arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference and going equipped to steal, and remains in police custody.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information about criminal activity in their area is urged to contact Cleveland Police on 101.”
