Despite the torrential rain, the officer kept monitoring the Peugeot 360 and the vigilance paid dividends, as the offending driver emerged and drove off in the car.
A swift pursuit followed and after the officer’s “blues and twos” were deployed, the suspected banned driver was stopped and immediately admitted the offence.
The car was seized and the offender will now go through the court process for his alleged motoring misdemeanour.
