Five brand new summer routes have been announced by Jet2 and will be departing from Newcastle Airport in summer 2026 - here's where.

If you're already thinking about future summer holidays and that glorious moment where you step off the plane into the sunshine then you've got more destinations to choose from when departing from the North East.

Airline Jet2 have yesterday (September 26) confirmed they will be flying to five new brand new destinations starting in summer 2026 including cities in Spain and Morocco.

Here's the full list:

  • Brand-new weekly services to Agadir
  • Brand-new and exclusive weekly services to Preveza
  • Weekly services to Marrakech operating for the first time in summer
  • Brand-new and exclusive twice-weekly services to Porto
  • Brand-new twice-weekly services to Barcelona

This comes as the airline say they have increased the number of flights departing to popular destinations including Malaga and Alicante.

Following the news, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "Customers are telling us they want to book ahead and secure that all-important holiday, so they can have the best choice of hotels, rooms and dates.

"We have responded to the strong demand from holidaymakers wanting to lock in their getaways, by putting our biggest and best Summer programme on sale from Newcastle International Airport for 2026, earlier than ever before.
