CCTV footage has been released showing a missing woman's last confirmed sighting on a Middlesbrough street.

Angela Simpson was last seen walking from Kildwick Grove towards the junction of Penrith Road in Middlesbrough around 6.30pm on Sunday, September 22.

In newly released footage, the 50-year-old can be seen walking along the street wearing a pink jacket, white leggings, and white and pink trainers.

After walking along Kildwick Grove, Angela continues left onto Penrith Road, right onto Sandringham Road and is last seen approaching the junction with Overdale Road, which police say is her last confirmed sighting.

Police are again appealing to members of the public to come forward if they think they may have seen Angela, who is described as 5’8” tall, of a slim build with brown hair.

Officers say they are growing "increasingly concerned" for her welfare.

They are also asking people to check private CCTV and dash cam footage for any possible sightings as well as checking sheds and outbuildings.

Officers and partner agencies are carrying out searches in the Ormesby area, near to where Angela was last seen.

Detective Inspector Dan Cook said: “As each day goes by, we grow increasingly concerned for Angela’s welfare.

“Angela requires medication which she does not have with her, and it is out of character for her not to be in touch with family members for this length of time.

“The footage we have released is the last known sighting that we have of her.
