A new footwear store is set to open in Darlington's Cornmill Centre.
Stride Footwear is set to open on the lower level of the complex beside New Look, in the unit formerly occupied by St Teresa's Hospice charity shop.
Led by owner Ender Gelik, who has been successfully running Modella Shoes in Middlesbrough's Hill Street Shopping Centre for the past 12 years, the store will specialise in shoes designed for comfortable and wider feet.
Stride Footwear will open its doors on Saturday, September 28, when it will ask customers to "step into comfort" with its offerings of boots, slippers, sandals, and more.
Pictures taken inside the Cornmill this week show signs have already been erected on the front of the store, with the windows currently being covered over ahead of the launch.
Ender's Middlesbrough store Modella Shoes is regularly praised online for its "great service" and a "great selection of styles."
One happy customer said: "I always receive helpful advice and service The shoes, and trainers are the best quality, comfortable and a brilliant fit."
A flyer for the new Darlington store said: "If you've struggled to find comfortable footwear due to tight-fitting shoes, Stride offers the perfect solution with beautiful shoes that prioritise comfort while offering the style to grace any occasion.
