Detectives have released an image of a man as an investigation into the alleged murder of dad Lewis Bell in Stockton continues. 

Police are keen to speak with 23-year-old Sean McLeod in connection with the ongoing probe following an alleged incident on Hills Drive on Thursday, September 19. 

Lewis Bell, who was described as a "loving and doting dad, son, brother, cousin and friend to many" by his family, sadly died at the scene. 

Officers wish to speak to Sean as part of their ongoing enquiries and would appeal for him or anyone who knows of his whereabouts to get in touch.

Sean is described as a 5ft 5” tall, of proportionate build with brown eyes and black hair.

As previously reported, officers were called to the residential street after an alleged stabbing incident overnight.

Liam Matthews, 25, of Quenby Road, Billingham, was later charged with murder and appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on September 24. 

A 17-year-old was also charged with murder and has since appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court.

Six other people arrested in connection with the investigation remain on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector David Glass, said: “We are keen to speak to Sean as he may be able to assist with our enquiries and would urge him, or anyone who A knows him or where he is, to contact Cleveland Police.

“As we continue our investigation, we would like to reassure local communities that we believe that this was an isolated incident and there is no current threat to the wider community. A number of arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.

“High visibility patrols are continuing alongside partner agencies near to where the incident took place, and anyone who may have any concerns is encouraged to approach one of our officers or call 101."
