This place is one of the best-ranked McDonald's in Darlington - which sets the bar relatively low - but also gives us a starting point in this ranking. 

Garnering 65 reviews overall on TripAdvisor, this restaurant has collected only seven excellent reviews, but 25 terrible reviews. 

One person who disliked the venue wrote on TripAdvisor: "We got two double deluxe burger meals and a happy meal waited ten minutes at drive-thru window when we got it home we had to use a knife and fork (yes I know ridiculous) the topping and the cheese was all over the box was nothing like the picture you advertise."

However, one of the seven that ranked this place well, said: "Perfect burgers, usually they are just thrown together and soppy from other McDonald’s - but it was perfect."

Another of the Darlington McDonald's restaurants which has a 2.5/5 rating - with 55 reviews indicating that this place has room for improvement but that some diners found their experience good. 

One person who liked the overall experience but complained about how the restaurant is often closed said on TripAdvisor: "Good McDonald’s but never open! Always essential maintenance closed! Never any frappes, no milkshakes, no ice creams, and very rarely open. At least 4/5 times a month closed every month - it's very poor."

Meanwhile, an impressed diner wrote on the review website: "Two Big Macs, fries, two cold drinks, paid for our meal upfront. Sat down, food was brought over to us, food was hot, and care had been taken with the prep of the meal. Well done to all."

The lowest-ranked McDonald's in Darlington, the North Road McDonald's garnered just two out of five stars on TripAdvisor. 

Diners who had eaten here - with people calling it 'shocking' with 'stone cold food'. 

One person who was less than impressed with this McDonald's said on TripAdvisor: "Got a delivery, half the drink spilt into the bag, stone cold fries and triple stack burger missing. Rang them up and they didn’t want to know about it - shocking service, everyone avoid it at all costs."
