Monuments in one North East city are set to light up the night bright pink to mark 30 years of the organ donation register.
Landmarks across Sunderland will be lit bright pink this week (September 23-28) to celebrate the anniversary of the register as campaigners urge people to sign up and save lives.
Northern Spire Bridge, Penshaw Monument, Hylton Castle, Fulwell Mill, the White Lighthouse at Seaburn, and Keel Square will all remain pink from dusk for this week.
