The Met Office has predicted a chilly day with a mix of bright spells and showers in Darlington. 

The forecaster said there is a risk of showers throughout most of Tuesday (September 24) which could merge to bring longer spells of rain. 

Temperatures are set to be no more than 13 °C  before dropping ahead of a cold night - although it is expected to be largely dry throughout the evening and into the early hours.
