The man who sadly died in the crash at Dalton Park roundabout last night has been named locally as Andrew Robson.
Tributes and messages of support to the family have been pouring in.
There was a large emergency response at Dalton Park roundabout last night (September 22) and a road closure was in place.
Police, the North East Ambulance Service, and the Great North Air Ambulance are all reported to have attended the scene.
A North East Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic collision on Barwick Road, Seaham at 7.38 yesterday evening.
"We dispatched two double crewed ambulances, a clinical team leader and a specialist paramedic. We were also supported by Great North Air Ambulance's medical car.
"We transported one patient to Sunderland Royal Hospital and two patients were treated and discharged at the scene."

A spokesperson for Durham Police previously said: "The road at Dalton Park roundabout is currently closed due to a serious accident.
"The road is likely to be closed for some time.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route."
