A man in his sixties was left with facial injuries after two men kicked him from his electric bike before stealing it. 

Police are appealing for information about the man after the incident in Stockton on Thursday (September 19).

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "The incident happened around 2pm on Thursday 19th September on 1825 Way, when the man was approached by two suspects on a black and red Yamaha motorbike.

"The suspects attempted to punch the man to steal the bike before the victim rode off along 1825 Way towards Stockton. The suspects then kicked him from the bike before assaulting him and stealing it.

"The man suffered facial injuries in the incident.

"Two males made off, one on the Yamaha motorbike. He is described as wearing a black puffa jacket, blue/grey bottoms and a black balaclava.

"The other suspect, who made off on the electric bike, is described as wearing all black and a black motorcycle helmet. The stolen bike is a Cube Reaction Race E-bike."

Both made off in the direction of Bowesfield Crescent.
