A heartbroken family has paid tribute to a 26-year-old man who died following an alleged stabbing in Norton. 

Police have now officially named Lewis Bell as the man who died following a report of an incident in Stockton in the early hours of Thursday morning (September 19).

Today, Lewis’ family paid tribute to him. Lewis’ dad, Martin Bell, said: “He was loved massively and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

“He was a loving and doting Dad, son, brother, cousin and friend to many.

“As a family we are devastated.”

Cleveland Police were called to Hills Drive at about 12.30am on Thursday, where a forensic tent was erected close to a property, as the area was taped off.

Scenes of crime officers were later seen taking pictures of a knife with a black handle near to some wheelie bins, before taking the blade away. 

Flowers were laid at the scene today.
