Police have found a body in the search for a missing Newcastle woman who took a starring role in a Channel 4 docu-series.
Katherine Watson, known as Katie, starred in the hit TV show Geordie Hospital in her role as a hospital chaplain.
She went missing on Thursday (September 19).
A body has now been found in the search for the 50-year-old was last seen in the Heaton Road area.
Geordie Hospital followed the work of staff across the RVI, Freeman and Great North Children’s hospitals in Newcastle. The first series aired in early 2022, with the second hitting TV screens In September last year.

Speaking ahead of the second series she said: “I enjoyed filming, mostly! Getting the chance to show people what hospital chaplaincy is actually about as opposed to what people think we do was great and also a reminder to all of our team about how embedded and valued we are in the organisation.”
