Two men have been arrested after a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.
Police were called to Ruskin Avenue in Middlesbrough at around 2.30am this morning. (Thursday September 19).
The 37-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident at a private address in the Acklam area of Middlesbrough just after 2.30am this morning (Thursday 19 September).
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and were supported by the Great North Air Ambulance medical car.
"One patient was taken to hospital."
Two men aged 27 and 29 have been arrested in connection with the incident and they remain in police custody at this time.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, anyone who may have seen or heard anything or anyone with dashcam footage, to contact Middlesbrough CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 180551.
