A suspected danger driver was snared by a stinger after going the "wrong way around a roundabout" during a police chase.
Officers spotted a Vauxhall Astra in "suspicious circumstances" on the A172 near Stokesley at about 1.10am on Tuesday (September 17).
The car failed to stop and headed towards Great Ayton along the B1292 then onto the A173 and A171 heading towards Middlesbrough.
North Yorkshire Police said the car was seen to "weave across the road, cross solid white lines and go the wrong way round a roundabout" during the chase, which lasted 15 minutes.
The incident came to a close after the stinger was deployed, forcing the car to come to a stop.
