Two men have been arrested after 300 cannabis plants were found growing in Bishop Auckland.
Police were called to Newgate Street at about 3am on Monday (September 16) after an alarm was set off.
Officers arrived to two men fleeing in a car, but interceptors followed them to a nearby service station.
Two men, aged 38 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and cultivation of cannabis.

The older man was also arrested for driving with no insurance and under the influence of drugs.
About 300 cannabis plants were seized from the building.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Cannabis plants seized from inside are currently being dismantled.”
