A man has been charged and is set to appear in court following a rape in a North East park last week.
30-year-old David Oracko was initially arrested following a manhunt by police after a woman reported a rape in Albert Park, Middlesbrough at around 4am on September 11.
Police attended the park after the report was made on Wednesday and the area around the central fountain was cordoned off as crime scene investigators conducted inquiries.
Following an investigation by Middlesbrough CID, Mr Oracko was charged and remains in police custody.
He will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court tomorrow (September 16).
