Cats at a County Durham rescue centre are still looking for a forever home, with some waiting since last December.
Zoe's Ark, established in Bishop Auckland last year, has been a haven for distressed felines, rescuing 97 cats and successfully rehoming 54, but still has 43 awaiting adoption.
These six have been waiting the longest to find a foster home:
Zebadee & Zena
The longest residents and also the oldest, Zebadee and Zena lost their owner just before last Christmas.
Rescued in December, they both enjoy strokes, kisses, cuddles, and attention.
Zoe said: "These two are 10 years old, and Zena is in line for ear surgery.
"We'll cover any medication expenses.
"They come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea'd and wormed, and their combined adoption fee is £185."
Savvi & Merlo
Savvi, a mother, along with her three kittens, Merlo, Malibu and Schnapps were rescued from a busy road and brought to the safe surrounds of Zoe's Ark.
Despite their initial shyness and nervousness, they have grown in confidence.
Zoe said, "Savvi is around three years old, and Merlo is around 10 months old—with patience and love, their personalities would shine brightly.
"With the necessary treatments, their combined adoption fee stands at £275."

Malibu & Schnapps
The other two kittens of Savvi and siblings to Merlo, Malibu and Schnapps were rescued alongside their relatives.
"Their confidence has grown since they came here, but to continue their progress, a new home is needed," Zoe said.
"Being 10 months old, black, and slightly nervous, they've been overlooked, but their patience and understanding can reveal their potential.
"Their combined adoption charge, inclusive of all necessary treatments, is £300."
The centre encourages anybody looking to adopt and offer these cats a new lease on life to come forward.
