A former UFC fighter who beat Conor McGregor in the octagon has been spotted in the North East... inside Greggs.
Nate Diaz, who beat Irish UFC champion Conor McGregor in a 2015 fight, was seen in Newcastle on Thursday ahead of a weekend of fighting shows including online influencer-ran Misfits event taking place in the city on Saturday.
And Diaz, who hails from Stockton (in America), also took in part of North Eastern culture, visiting Greggs opposite Newcastle Central Station.
"So far so good," Diaz said when asked how he was enjoying the city. "Look at this place!"
Diaz was stopped by several students for pictures inside the Greggs as he took in the baked goods on offer.
But what fuels an elite fighter?
Diaz, to the surprise of the person filming him behind the camera, pointed to the vegan sausage rolls lined up behind the counter.

"So I've got to watch him," Diaz said.
Misfits Boxing is a promotional company set up by online mega-star JJ Olatunji, known by YouTube alias KSI.
