A spooky light trail with hundreds hand carved pumpkins will be held at a County Durham castle this autumn - here's when and how you can get tickets.

Visitors to Auckland Palace this October are set to see pumpkins as far as the eye can see as a light trail featuring over 600 of them will be placed in the gardens of Auckland Palace.

Handmade scarecrows, hay bales and autumnal themed decorations are also set to line the route designed to celebrate "everything there is to love" about Autumn.

"As someone originally from the USA which celebrates the arrival of autumn on a big scale, I’m really pleased that we’re hosting Pumpkin Forest and that we’ve received significant demand for an event of this scale at this time of year.

"There will be sensory-friendly sessions, and the route has been designed with all ages in mind. It’ll be wonderful to see the vision come to life from 4th October."
