Police have identified a man in a CCTV image released following the alleged theft of alcohol from Tesco in Northallerton.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "It happened at about 1.45pm on 13 August 24 at Tesco, East Road, Northallerton, and involved a man taking a quantity of alcohol without making any attempt to pay for it."
The spokesperson added: "The man pictured in CCTV who we wanted to speak to following a theft from Tesco on East Road, Northallerton on Tuesday 13 August has now been identified.
"Thank you to all who shared the appeal."

The spokesperson added: "The man pictured in CCTV who we wanted to speak to following a theft from Tesco on East Road, Northallerton on Tuesday 13 August has now been identified.
