Police have thanked members of the media and public who helped them to trace a woman sought over an alleged pub glassing incident.
Earlier today (Wednesday September 11) the Northumbria force issued an appeal to trace a woman said to have been in the area of the Head of Steam pub, in Tynemouth, when a man was injured in a suspected glass attack.
The incident was said to have taken place at about 11pm on Saturday, July 13.
Police said the victim sustained serious facial injuries to his chin, lip and nose and was taken to hospital for treatment.
He has since been discharged but he has been left with permanent scars.

The appeal said the woman is understood to have been in the area of the Front Street pub at the time of the incident and could have information which may assist the investigation.
But later today, in an updated release, the force confirmed the woman involved in the appeal has been located.
A short note thanked all those who had assisted in the appeal.
