A new Yarm pizza takeaway has lodged plans to stay open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Earlier this year, Yarm Pizza opened on the town's High Street after transforming the former Barnacle’s fish and chip shop, which had been closed for several months.
The takeaway - located between EFES Turkish Barber and popular continental cafe Nossa - has since been praised online for its “really lovely food” and “great value for money”.
Now, bosses have applied to Stockton Council to license the premises for late-night refreshments, from 11pm until 1am from Friday to Saturday.
It also hopes to operate later opening times of 4pm until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Currently, the pizza shop - known for serving up a range of takeaway classics including chicken parmesans, burgers, kebabs, and wraps - is open from 4pm until 11pm from Monday to Thursday and on Sundays.
On Fridays and Saturdays, it currently has a later closing time of 12am - but bosses now want to extend this by one hour.

If approved, the 1am closing time on weekends would make the venue the latest opening takeaway on the High Street.
The nearby Pizza and Co venue, which has been in the town since 2016, currently closing at midnight on weekends.
The consultation closure date for the application is October 1.
