A man has admitted a string of offences including carrying a kitchen knife around Durham City centre "without a good reason".
Nathan Rees pleaded guilty at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court last week to possession of a knife, sexual assault, commercial burglary and three counts of theft.
The incidents all took place between June and September this year.
The 24-year-old, of Hetton-le-Hole, is now set to be sentenced at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 24.

Inspector Dave Clarke, of Durham City Neighbourhood Police Team, said: “Rees has blighted our city for several weeks and his behaviour is completely unacceptable.
“These crimes have had a significant impact on those involved.
“We are relentlessly pursuing criminals who hold disregard for their communities. Criminal behaviour will never be tolerated.”
