Plans to build two additional houses on a County Durham street have been lodged with Durham County Council.
The planning permission application, which was verified by the council on Friday, proposes to build two detached houses complete with garages and surrounding landscaping on a vacant plot of land to the rear of 25 Front Street South, Trimdon Village.
The intended construction includes two four-bedroom houses, garages and additional parking spaces, in total accommodating six vehicles.
Environmental impact assessments noted that there was no significant threat from local trees or hedges.

The planned materials for the project are multi-red bricks for the walls with detailed information for other materials specified in the accompanying design and access statement.
The application also takes into account waste storage, collection and connections to the main sewer for drainage.
The application contains standard declarations, a consent for publication of information, and details about site visits by the local planning authority.
Mr Derek Pollard from Bishop Auckland is listed as the applicant, represented by agent Mr Filip Young from Sunderland-based company Building Design Northern.
The plans are now with Durham County Council who will decide the application's fate.
