Around 60,000 runners are set to take part in the Great North Run 2024 - and many will be wondering whether they'll need their raincoat.

The the world's biggest half marathon will kick off in Newcastle on Sunday (September 8), where participants will take on the 13.1-mile route to South Shields.

Weather is set to remain misty and cloudy with some light rain and sunny clouds and temperatures aren't too hot either - expecting to only reach around 16°C.
