Fenwick’s hugely popular Santa on the Roof event will return this Christmas.
The Newcastle department store is bringing the festive treat back for 2024 and is expecting huge demand after selling out in minutes in previous years.
Ticketholders will be greeted by one of Santa’s Elves and taken up a themed elevator to the rooftop where they get to meet Santa and his elves and make a pitspot at ‘Café Claus’.
Kieran McBride, Director of the Northumberland Street store, said: “Fenwick is known for creating magical Christmas moments, and we strive to deliver this magic at every step of the way, providing our customers and community with exceptional Christmas experiences from start to finish.”
To get tickets wannabe attendees can pre-register online to avoid disappointment. Once registered customers will be randomly selected for access to buy a ticket for any available timeslot. Access links will then be sent out to those pre-registered until the event is sold out. Fenwick hopes the system will lead to fewer disappointed customers.
Pre-registration is open now until 11.55pm on Wednesday, September 18.
It comes after families were left disappointed when they queued for hours only to find the event had already sold out two years ago.
Mr McBridge added: “Over the years, we have seen huge demand for tickets for Santa on the Roof and following the success of last year’s introduction of a pre-registration system, we’ll be following the same process for Santa on the Roof for 2024.
