A teenager is set to appear in court today after officers spotted "suspicious activity" on a housing estate and subsequently seized drugs, cash, and a knife.
The 17-year-old was arrested by police after officers spotted suspicious activity in the Ayresome Gardens area of Middlesbrough yesterday (September 5).
They then recovered suspected crack cocaine, cash, and a lock knife and later charged the man with possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of a knife/blade in a public place.
A full Cleveland Police statement reads: "A man has been charged to appear at court this morning after officers spotted suspicious activity in the Ayresome Gardens area of Middlesbrough on Thursday afternoon (5th September).
"Officers arrested a man and recovered suspected crack cocaine, cash, and a lock knife.
"A 17-year-old man charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of a knife/blade in a public place.
"The man is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today (Friday 6th September)."
