A County Durham tourist attraction has gone viral for a funny 'Gen Z' video - with people calling it an 'amazing contrast' and 'incredibly forward-thinking'.
When you think of Beamish Museum and its historic feel, you think of the 1950s and discovering North East history of the past, but you may want to rethink that after its most recent social media video.
Posting to its TikTok account, Beamish highlighted that the Museum isn't just for families and older people - but it's for younger generations too, as demonstrated in the video.
Starting with an introduction of 'we're not like other museums', the video goes on to cut to different parts of Beamish Museum, while the presenter of the TikTok video says Gen Z words such as 'lit', 'slay', and 'ate'.
Within the video, Beamish's bakery, buses, trams, vehicles, and other landscapes feature heavily throughout the minute-long video.
Generation Z, generally born between the late 1990s and early 2010s, have several words they like to use in everyday speak that many people might not use - but Beamish proved that it's truly up to date with the phrases.

Having amassed around one million views on the video already and 250,000 likes, it seems like people are loving Beamish's attempt at trying Gen Z speak.
