New homes built on a country estate in County Durham have been showcased, as images of the property and the show home have been revealed.

Robertson Homes has opened the doors of a new show home at the Lionfields development on the Lambton Estate in Chester-Le-Street.

The housebuilder gained planning permission for 57 homes on the estate - with a third of the homes already sold to prospective buyers.

Designers have combined two of the bedrooms to create a separate suite with a lounge and kitchenette as well as a separate large bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room.

Andy Dodds, regional director at Robertson Homes, said: “We always like to do something exceptional with our show homes to show customers the full potential of our properties.

“The Stewart Garden Room has six bedrooms but in this show home two have been combined to create a self-contained ‘apartment’. This could be every teenager’s dream or, with more and more multi-generational living, the perfect independent space for an older relative.

“Lionfields is the ideal location for families wanting their ‘forever home’ where they can see their children grow up in a perfect house in a beautiful area and we hope the show home reflects that.

“Lambton Park itself will have lots of facilities for families to enjoy from nature walks and a jungle gym to picnic areas with barbecues and fire pits and a traditional high street with a range of independent shops and businesses.”

All the Robertson Homes properties at Lionfields are built in the Arts and Crafts style with traditional windows, intricate brick detailing and wide eaves.

Interior designer Kyle Downie of Graham Fuller Design, said: “This was a really exciting project to work on with a very specific brief for the property and a wonderful location.

“With the houses being built in the Arts and Crafts style, it was crucial to resemble the style within the interior. Visitors can expect to see a running theme of William Morris wallpapers, fabrics, and artwork throughout the house and while the overall style of the house is very smart and luxurious, the rooms have their own individual nod to the movement.

“Throughout the house there are some amazing design features and ‘designer touches’. The grand bookcase in the dining area is a fantastic feature and truly accentuates the size of the room in terms of height and width. The artwork throughout is a balance between Morris prints & bespoke paintings from an extremely talented artist local to County Durham.”

The Stewart Garden Room has a double-height entrance hall with a galleried staircase.

Off the hallway is a panelled living room with deep windows and dressed with textures and colours. In contrast on the other side of the hallway, the snug is shown as a cinema room.

Double doors lead into a kitchen/dining/seating area which goes into Robertson Homes’ garden room.

On the first floor as well as the bedroom ‘apartment’ the principal bedroom suite is a grown-up retreat with a large dressing room to accommodate all clutter and a bathroom with double sinks and a shower.

There is a second double bedroom suite and two more double bedrooms, one dressed here as a Lionfields study, as well as a spacious house bathroom.
