A popular Darlington Japanese restaurant has been given a notice that there will be a premises license review after concerns of illegal working.
Tao Street Food will stay open until after the findings of a public hearing.
The Home Office applied for a review of the premise licence after a recent visit.
There will be a 28-day consultation period and people can respond regarding any aspect of the business's licensable activities.
Following the consultation period details will be published on the Darlington Borough Council website and a public hearing will be held in early October.
