The body of a man has been found on a Northumberland beach.
Officers were called to Seaton Sluice Beach on Monday morning after receiving a report of concern for the welfare of a man.
Emergency services carried out search enquiries at the scene and sadly located the body of a man - with Northumbria Police confirming there are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.
His next of kin has been informed and a file will now be prepared for the Coroner.
A force spokesperson said: “At 9am on Monday, we received a report of concern for the welfare of a man in the Seaton Sluice Beach area of Northumberland.

“Emergency services attended and sadly, following search enquiries, the body of a man was discovered.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
