Police have closed a North Yorkshire road following a serious crash.
Officers were called to the A61 near the village of Bishop Monkton, between Harrogate and Ripon, following a collision on Monday evening.
North Yorkshire Police has urged drivers to avoid the area, or use alternate routes, confirming that emergency services remain at the scene at 7.45pm.
It is not yet known whether anyone was taken to hospital following the crash - nor how many vehicles were involved.

A spokesperson said: "We're currently dealing with a serious collision near Bishop Monkton, between Harrogate and Ripon.
"The A61 south of Ripon is currently closed. We're urging drivers to avoid the area if possible or use alternative routes while emergency services remain at the scene.
"We're working to reopen the road as quickly as possible. Thank you."
