A man has pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court charged with murder after an alleged "stabbing" in Stockton.
Adam Mackintosh, 28, appeared at Teesside Crown Court following a reported incident on Wrensfield Road on Wednesday, June 24.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the street around 6.40pm after a 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries. He later died in hospital.
Mackintosh, of Coral Grove, Thornaby, denies the charge and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

As previously reported, a huge cordon was erected across Stainmore Close following the alleged incident, with pictures showing several police officers guarding the blue and white tape.
Crime scene investigators were later captured probing the street, placing evidence markers on the ground and taking photographs.
A separate cordon was also set up on Coral Grove - and later confirmed to be linked by police.
Mackintosh was told that his trial would start in the week commencing December 2 this year.
