A young man has been arrested after an alleged stabbing attack in Middlesbrough saw someone left with a punctured lung.
A 48-year-old man was hospitalised after suffering stabbing injuries whilst in a garden on Deepdale Avenue, on the evening of Friday, August 16.
Since then, police say a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack, and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Officers are appealing for CCTV and dash cam footage after a man suffered stabbing injuries in Middlesbrough.
"The incident happened in the front garden of a property on Deepdale Avenue at about 8.10 pm on Friday, August 16.
"A 48-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment for stab wounds which resulted in punctured lungs and a laceration to his arm. He has since been discharged.
"On Friday, August 30, a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and is now bailed pending further enquiries.
