One person has been taken to hospital following an incident in Durham.
Police and ambulance crews were spotted on Millburngate, in the city centre, on Friday afternoon following reports of an incident.
Pictures circulating online show at least three police vehicles and a larger ambulance vehicle parked on the street, close to The Three Bridges pub.
The North East Ambulance Service has confirmed it sent a duty officer, two vehicles from the Hazardous Area Response Team and a double crewed ambulance to the scene.
No details regarding the nature of the incident have been released - although the ambulance service confirmed that one person was taken to hospital.
A spokeswoman said: "We were called to an incident at a property in the Millburngate area of Durham at 4.07pm this afternoon.
"We dispatched a duty officer, two vehicles from our Hazardous Area Response Team and a double crewed ambulance. One patient was taken to hospital."
