A man has been arrested after police swooped on a £122,000 cannabis farm in Yarm.
Officers raided a property on Turton Road on Thursday after information provided to Stockton's neighbourhood policing team from members of the public.
As police executed the warrant, the man attempted to flee the home via the bathroom window - but was caught by officers and arrested at the scene.
He was then taken to custody to be questioned on suspicion of production of cannabis and immigration offences.
Chief Inspector Dan Heron, from Stockton’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “While our enquiries are ongoing, we want to take this opportunity to encourage the local community to keep recognising the signs of drug activity believed to be occurring in their area and to report it.
“Information can be provided by calling Cleveland Police on 101 or if reticent to come forward, to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
