A County Durham community centre is set to host a comedy evening featuring an award-winning comedian.
The event, promising an evening of laughter and music, will be held at Bowburn Community Centre on October 4.
The act is to include Sue Sweeney and local entertainer Mike L.
Sweeney, a comedienne and former BBC Radio Newcastle host, started her entertainment career as a vocalist in a two-girl duo and later became a successful comedy act, being named "North East Comedy Artiste of the Year" in 1998.
Sweeney's act focuses on life and relationships, with many audiences left both laughing and nodding in agreement with her observations according to the event's organisers.

Along with performing comedy, she also presents her own radio show on Durham On Air.
Mike L, a seasoned performer across the North East, is also set to perform at the Bowburn event.
Singing a variety of hit songs from the 1950s to the present day, Mike L always updates his sets.
His well-received tribute act to Neil Diamond has also gained attraction.
Tickets for the event go for £3 and can be obtained from Bowburn Community Centre.
