Founded 15 years ago, the festival represents the very best of the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival, which takes place annually in November in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Selected from hundreds of entries, these films will tour across 50 UK and Ireland locations, including Yarm, throughout spring and autumn of 2024.

Aside from thrilling films, each event also includes a free outdoorsy-goods raffle, contributed by the tour's associates.

One of the anticipated films, "Eternal Flame", documents BASE jumpers Éric Jamet and Antoine Pecher's daring adventure.

The pair conquered the beautiful yet daunting Eternal Flame route up Pakistan's Nameless Tower (6,200m) before BASE jumping from the top.

"No Way!" is another highlight, featuring professional paraglider and filmmaker Jean Baptiste Chandelier.

Known for his low-altitude, obstacle-skirting flights, Chandelier brings paragliding and filmmaking together in this joy-filled short.

Finally, "Going Greenland" poses the question of balancing dreams with environmental responsibility.

Athletes Rachael Burks and Jessica Baker venture on a renewable energy sailboat for an arctic ski exploration in Greenland.

This inspiring, trailblazing trip encapsulates the balance of progress and compromise against the striking Greenlandic landscapes.
